Nana Prah--What #amreading this Christmas holiday #African #Romance @NanaPrah

I've invited authors to share some of the books on their reading list over the festive season. Today, I have romance author Nana Prah giving us a peek into some of the African romance books on her to-be-read pile. Check them out.

First of all, let me introduce you to one of Nana's books. I love this cover!

Midwife to Destiny is coming early 2014

Unedited Blurb
Nurse Aurora Aikins, Ora to her friends, never expected to find the love of her life while on vacation to South Africa. Engaged to another and battling other issues, she returns to Ghana to fulfill her promise to a man she never loved nor ever would.

Dr. Jason Lartey never got over his chance encounter with Ora. After learning she didn’t marry, he moves to Ghana to rekindle their love. His sudden appearance in Ora’s Emergency Department sends sparks flying all over again.

With help from Ora’s cousin, Esi, it’s smooth sailing for the reunited couple until her unresolved issues cause her to leave him. Will the destined love they share be lost forever?

Here are some of the books on Nana's holiday reading list.

Ada has her life planned, and there's no place in it for men or relationships. Even if she had the time or the inclination, Eddie Bakare is the last man she would ever consider. He may be every girl's fantasy - handsome, rich, charming, and so sure of himself - but Ada is not interested in fantasy when reality keeps her very well occupied.
But Eddie is determined to make her change her mind. Will she be able to resist him now that she is the center of his attentions, and does she even want to?

Lara Reddy is fleeing London. After her husband dumps her and she bumps into him and his pregnant new missus, she jumps on a prestigious job offer. The kicker? The job is in Mauritius, the homeland of her Indian-origin parents, and a restrictive society she ran away from over a decade earlier.

Divorce paints a scarlet letter on her chest when she returns to the culture-driven island. Once there, Lara has no escape--not from the gossip, the contempt, the harassing matchmaking...and certainly not from the man she hoped never to meet again, the boy she’d loved and lost—white Mauritian native, Eric Marivaux.

In the past, fear of social repercussions from the Sectarian crowd her family belongs to kept her from giving her all to Eric. Will standing on the other side be the impetus she needs to take a chance on Eric and love again?

Ugo’ji is an outcast, an untouchable. She lives on the fringe of society as the lowest of the low, a living sacrifice to the gods. The only person she interacts with is her aged grandmother Nne who nurtures her powerful gift of healing. Until the day she meets Ebube a strange warrior to their lands. He ignites a yearning within her she's unable to ignore.

Ebube is drawn to the young maiden with the emerald green eyes who possesses the body of a goddess and the healing touch of an angel. But he is forbidden from mating with a human and the consequence is the wrath of the gods.

Moreover he is on a mission. If he fails, the gates of hell will be opened and the earth plunged into darkness. He cannot stay and she cannot go with him.
